I’m Kim (Wirth) Hermanson and I have lived in Story City all but two years (UNI) of my life. Raised out by Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, I was initiated at an early age into buying antiques by my dad. We socialized at every farm/household sale. Do you remember when auctions were held on site? All the neighbors came to the local farm sales and the CHURCH LADIES made the lunch. Yum! Being raised by a dad who had sheds full of tools etc. and also collected registered quarter horses, how can I not collect old things? Did I mention that I’m very good at rationalizing my full house, full garage and full storage unit? What a great addiction to have! Vintage stuff has history, feels warms and cozy or kitschy or just right. Maybe that’s how I ended up being the owner and manager of an antique mall. I'll share my views on vintage stuff with you on my blog - "Vintage View". Stay tuned for more to come...
